the Kindergartners and 1st graders put on a Texas performance for all the families, followed by an ice cream social. Alexis is not much of a performer. She did not smile at all unless she looked at us and we kept telling her to smile. She did sing the songs and do the dance. All the kids were so cute. They sang songs like Home on the Range and did a dance to Cotton Eyed Joe. Adorable. I asked Alexis why she didn't smile more and her response was "she's shy". UGH! Guess we will have to work on that.
And with her best morning buddy, Mikayla. Her mom really helps me out in the mornings when Rodney and I both go in early. She has been a real life saver.
I was a full time working mom that always wanted to learn to decorate cakes and after taking only two classes at Michaels it gave me the confidence to keep trying new things. I love coming up with new ideas for cakes for my friends and family. I think I get better every day. Maybe one day I may even work in a bakery or better yet have my own. You can always contact me by email at rkirbie@gmail.com, thanks for looking!
