The Birthday Party!

I think for the most part it was a hit. Alexis of course had her usual melt down about mid party. I forgot to put out the pasta salad for the adults. But all in all the girls had a blast. It all looked so cute. the dining room was the dressing room with all the dresses hanging and the hats, gloves and necklaces on the table. On the floor and a trunk were all the shoes and purses. The girls came in, got their nails painted, picked out a dress and accessories and got their hair fixed. A big thanks to my friends Angela and Wendy for being the hair and makeup salon!

Once the girls were ready we played a game of toss the poodle in the hat box. Then a group picture, followed by our tea time lunch and etiquette lesson. :) Alexis was dying to serve the food and pour the pink lemonade. They all enjoyed their lunch and then it was time for the fashion show and dance party. We did the freeze dance, some kind of stop dance and the YMCA.

And last but not least the cake and presents. For the presents we passed around the hot potato pink poodle pillow and when it stopped on a friend they got to give Alexis their present.

It turned out to be a great party. The girls got their cool goodie bags that had a tiara, wand, gloves and shoes in it to continue playing dress up at home.

After the party was over it was nap time, followed by dinner out at Alexis' favorite restaurant (other than McDonalds) Texas Road House or as she calls it the peanut place.

Then lastly, we met up with some friends for the fireworks at the Allen USA celebration. What a way to end the day with a BANG! Finally home by 11pm for bed.
