Today Zach, Mom, Kayla, Rodney and I went rafting on the Nantahala River. it was a pretty mild raft trip. Only, 1, 2 and one 3 rapid at the end. Since it was Kayla's first trip it was perfect for her, but next time we go I really want to go on the 4 & 5 rapid trip. The water was freezing! 48 to 50 degrees all year round. Our guide was so funny with lots of jokes to tell on the way down. He said the water stayed cold year round from the run off of an ice cube factory. LOL One raft without a guide did flip on the last rapid. All 5 of them. We had to save them in our raft. The look on their faces was pure terror and also probably from the cold. I thought it was pretty funny when the young boy who look terrified was like "let's do it again" after we got him to dry land. I should have took a video of it with my camera. Guess he needed to be a tough guy.
The fog was just amazing on the river. It was very cool and the scenery was just beautiful.
Here We Go...

The good luck bridge. We all had to tap it with our paddles for good luck. Mom missed. Maybe that is why they lost her luggage on her way home. :0
