4th of July Celebration:

Happy 4th of July. Here is the cake I made and worked on all morning to take to the BBQ. I think it turned out adorable. If anyone needs a cake in the future let me know. I need the practice.

We had a great 4th! We got to celebrate at my friend Stacie's new house. The girls love the fact that they have a pool and stairs. They wish we had the same. LOL We had a BBQ, swam all day and met some great new people. Everyone had a blast. I got some cute video's of the girls that I will try and post later, but here are the pictures for now. We didn't stay for fireworks because I had been sick the whole week and really needed to go home and rest after being in the sun all day. Enjoy the pictures.

Locks of Love Girls

so the girls have been asking for a while to get their hair cut. Rodney has always been against it and I just wasn't sure if I wanted to do it. Well Abby's hair was so thick and long that it was just too much for this Texas heat so we decided that if we were going to cut it we would donate it to Locks of Love. You need 10 inches to donate to them. We cut 10 on Abby but Alexis did not have that much to cut. Until one of the girls at the salon said that Panteen takes hair donations of 8 inches. Sure enough they do. (wish I would have known that before I cut 10 off Abby) So we cut 8 off Alexis. Both girls LOVE their new hair cuts and are so excited that they can brush and wash their own hair now. this will be nice for me once they get the hang of it. Anyway, just wanted to share their new do's....
